Connectivity for Distributed Access,
Processing and Centralized Storage
EnviroLink system components allow you to build and open information architecture
tailored to your laboratory operation. These components and features include :
Flexible and expandable
"building blocks"
-
- EnviroLink is available in a wide range of configurations, single instrument (EnviroLink
SI), multi instrument (EnviroLink MI) and processing workstations (EnviroStation),
allowing you to build a customized information architecture for your GC/MS laboratory.
These components can be re-configured at any time to meet the changing needs of your
laboratory.
-
Simplified networking for
distributed information access
-
- Networking EnviroLink PC systems provides a simple pathway for sharing information from
a centralized server location. EnviroLink supports standard PC networking environments,
such as Novell NetWare, IBM OS/2 LAN Server, Microsoft NT Server and Windows for
Workgroups and TCP/IP.
-
Client-server processing to
maximize use of system resources
-
- Quantitation and reporting operations may be sent to a dedicated calculation and
reporting server on a network. In this configuration, instrument PCs function as
acquisition clients only and send requests over a network to the calculation and reporting
server for processing.
-
Centralized archival and retrieval
-
- Integrated data collection and networking allows a single point source for data
archiving and retrieving. Information backup can be automated at the server, eliminated
the need for daily backups from individual systems.
